BREAKING: Garrett suffered pectoral injury, out indefinitely

The past 24-plus hours, Missouri fans held their breath waiting to hear the injury update on star quarterback Kelly Bryant.

As it turns out, Bryant wasn’t the star player fans should’ve been worried about.

While it was announced that Bryant suffered a knee sprain in Saturday’s 42-10 win over Troy but is expected to be full go this week, MU also confirmed defensive captain and star linebacker Cale Garrett has a pectoral tendon injury and will be out indefinitely. He will have surgery on the tendon Tuesday.

#Mizzou injury update:

-QB Kelly Bryant has a knee sprain, not expected to be limited this week

-LB Cale Garrett suffered a pectoral tendon injury, will be out indefinitely

-PR Richaud Floyd has a hamstring injury, doubtful for this week— Ryan Herrera (@Ryan_A_Herrera) October 7, 2019

The school has not established a recovery timeline, but early expectations are that he’ll miss the remainder of the season, a loss that hurts the Tigers almost as much as losing Bryant would have.
