Mizzou athletics director Jim Sterk was asked during a recent trip to St. Louis about the possibility of the Tigers playing St. Louis University in basketball.
"Unlike football, in basketball, coaches are really the ones that are scheduling that," Sterk told the St. Louis chapter of the National Football Foundation.
I talked to both Cuonzo Martin and Travis Ford about the idea on Monday during the second annual tip-off luncheon at the Missouri Athletic Club.
But I was somewhat surprised to find that there seem to be some signs of traction.
• If you think Martin and Ford are faking it, consider that Ford's son, Brooks, is a walk-on for the Tigers this season.
