The attention on a Missouri football season unlike any other has shifted to Gary Pinkel's sendoff.
Rightfully so.
Pinkel, who announced last week he will retire at the end of the season due to non-Hodgkin lymphoma, has two games left if the Tigers can't rally for a bowl.
The man picked Mizzou football out of the dirt, brushed it off and made it shine. Last Saturday's image of him dancing, surrounded by the players he always put first, will be remembered by fans for years to come. He should be carried off the field no matter the outcome of Saturday's game against Tennessee.
