COLUMBIA, MO. • That scream you keep hearing is, “Hands!”
The bass drum that resides somewhere inside Missouri men’s basketball coach Cuonzo Martin’s chest booms out the word time and time again during games as he slides, squats and stomps along the sideline.
“He’s done that since day one,” longtime Martin staffer Marco Harris, referring to the shout fans watching at home often pick up through their TV screens.
“It’s a reminder,” Harris said. “To close out with your hands held high.”
Reminders weren’t enough Wednesday night.
Perhaps getting embarrassed by No.
