Many want Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz to start the talented four-star freshman QB Horn next Saturday. Give the people what they want. Turn the page on the admirable but limited Cook, who is now 2-5 as a starter dating back to last season’s bowl loss. Start speeding toward what, for Drinkwitz’s sake, better be a bright future spearheaded by Horn.
If you’re going to make a big QB switch, doing it out of the bye week makes sense. Doing it at home makes sense. Doing it against Vanderbilt, the most beatable SEC team left on the schedule, makes sense.
