BenFred: Mizzou's SEC games will test silent AD's patience

One of the few things we know about new University of Missouri athletics director Jim Sterk is that he appears to have more faith in Kim Anderson than many Mizzou fans.

If Anderson's job was in the hands of the black-and-gold backers who have stopped showing up to Mizzou Arena, he probably would have been let go before his third season started. Losses to North Carolina Central, Eastern Illinois and Lipscomb convinced some of the most dedicated Anderson supporters to surrender. But the only man with the power to make a coaching change has remained silent.

While rumors and speculation about Anderson's security swirl, Sterk's voice has been absent.
