Playing football in the Edward Jones Dome was a goal for young Markus Golden.
But this? Even childhood aspirations have ceilings.
"I dreamed about playing in the state championship in high school," Golden said in a victorious Arizona locker room. "To get here is even better than playing in a state championship. It was a blessing, man."
"Here" was the Dome. As a Cardinal. Against the Rams on a Sunday afternoon. Not just a blessing, but a "big-time blessing", as the rookie outside linebacker later called it. One that drew a crowd of at least 50 family members, friends and former Pee Wee football coaches.
