It should have happened.
But, it’s not happening.
And that’s a bummer for fans of Mizzou, SLU and college basketball in general.
A case can be made that the Tigers and Billikens should play each other in men’s basketball annually. I don’t always agree. But they should be playing during this pandemic-warped season that has turned the college basketball calendar into a mess of eraser marks and light-pencil reservations. It just makes too much sense for them to meet now.
But it’s not going to happen, and I feel like if it can’t happen now, when the coronavirus has turned finding decent games that minimize travel into minor miracles, then it’s fair to wonder if it’s ever going to happen again.
