The sharpshooting guard was in the midst of what turned out to be his final season at Canisius College, the only place to offer him a scholarship out of high school. He was playing well, and wrestling with the notion of departing as a graduate transfer to spend his final year of eligibility in a major conference. The Golden Griffins showed up to Rupp Arena to take their pay-to-play pounding. They got whipped, 93-69. But if Robertson had any doubts, they ceased as he scored a team-high 16 points.
