After an incredible sweep of Florida this past weekend, Missouri (15-19, 4-8 SEC) looked like a contending ballclub for the first time this season… until Tuesday, when they lost to in-state opponent SIUE. This weekend, the Tigers look to get back on the right track as they head to Athens, Georgia for a three-game series against the Bulldogs.
Georgia (25-8, 5-7) has done so-so in their conference slate. They were swept by league-leader Kentucky to start SEC play, then swept Alabama, and then lost their next two series to Tennessee and at Mississippi State.
In Starkville, they were recently left short-handed for a game after a play at the plate resulted in a verbal altercation.
