COLUMBIA, MO. • With one of the most winnable home games left on the schedule, Missouri stretched its losing streak to seven with Tuesday’s 77-72 loss to Auburn. In a matchup of two teams that began the day winless in conference play, Auburn’s Mustapha Heron’s 3-pointer broke a 66-66 tie with 2:14 left and his team never trailed again. Heron added a jumper on Auburn’s next possession and his team sank six straight free throws in the final minute to preserve the win.
Mizzou fell to 5-10 and 0-3 in the Southeastern Conference.
