When Derek Dooley first introduced himself as Missouri’s new offensive coordinator, he said you could call the Tigers’ offense a “pro-style” one, though even he admittedly wasn’t quite sure what that meant.
On Tuesday, after his first spring practice with Mizzou, the eccentric Georgia native who has never before been an offensive coordinator provided an even more vague term for what system the Tigers will run: “Wikipedia.”
“That’s what it is,” Dooley said. “Our offense — Wikipedia right now. Everyday, you kind of go on there, there’s a new sentence. I wonder who added that.”
Dooley said the priority this spring is to develop “a good idea of what core runs, throws, run actions, (and) dropbacks” Mizzou will use, based on what players are best at and feel most comfortable with.
