The longest losing streak of the Missouri men’s basketball team’s season continued Saturday as the Tigers lost their eighth straight game to the Alabama Crimson Tide (13-9, 4-6 SEC) 80-71.
Missouri came to Tuscaloosa without junior forward Russell Woods and sophomore forward Jakeenan Gant, who were suspended for Saturday’s game after being arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Sophomore forward D’Angelo Allen was also left in Columbia after he came down with a case of strep throat, leaving Missouri with only three of their six eligible forwards.
Freshman forward Kevin Puryear and senior forward Ryan Rosburg made the most of their increased playing time.
