Missouri sophomore running back Damarea Crockett had a 75-yard touchdown run erased during the third quarter Saturday against Missouri State for diving across the goal line.

Crockett’s antic is prohibited per NCAA regulations by Rule 9, Section 2, Article 1, which has been in place since 2011.

Among the sub-points related to Unsportsmanlike Acts, players are barred from “obviously altering stride as he approaches the opponent’s goal line or diving into the end zone.”

The penalty is 15 yards from the spot of the foul, which means Crockett was credited with a 73-yard run to the Bears’ 2-yard line and the Tigers received a first down at the MSU 17-yard line.
