It was a November to remember last season for the University of Missouri’s football team. But not so much this year, as the Tigers’ have fallen short of lofty hopes and their television ratings in St. Louis are massively down —nearly 80% over the same period last year.

The Mizzou bandwagon roared through November 2023, when the Tigers suffered a close loss at top-ranked Georgia then routed No. 13 Tennessee before beating Florida and Arkansas to close the regular season at 10-2. That earned MU a spot in the Cotton Bowl, and Mizzou went out in style by beating Ohio State — albeit a significantly undermanned version of the Buckeyes.
