Coming off its first bowl season since 2010, Kentucky (4-1, 1-1 SEC) has won 11 of its last 15 regular-season games. The Wildcats have survived two close calls against Eastern Kentucky (27-16) and Eastern Michigan (24-20) and lost to Florida 28-27 on a last-minute touchdown pass. The Wildcats couldn’t capitalize on a road win at South Carolina and blew a 13-point fourth-quarter lead against the Gators to extend the longest losing streak in FBS, a 31st consecutive loss to Florida. While fifth-year coach Mark Stoops has developed a playmaking quarterback in Stephen Johnson, UK’s strength this fall has been its defense.
