Missouri defensive coordinator Corey Batoon called an absolute whale of a ballgame on Saturday. After hearing all week about how BC’s sawed-off scrambler Thomas Castellanos was going to torment the Tiger defense, his unit stood up and did an admirable job.
They were not perfect – a few penalties allowed BC to extend drives. A pair of ghastly busted coverages by the safeties led to long touchdowns. And BC executed a marvelous scripted drive to open the game. But when taking the game as a whole, Batoon and his crew were tremendous.
Batoon brought a strong gameplan, and his players executed it.
