Mizzou Softball’s quest to earn their first Women’s College World Series berth since 2011 fell short this weekend. After splitting the first two games of their Super Regional with No. 10 Duke, the No. 7 Tigers dropped an extra-innings thriller to the Blue Devils by the score of 4-3. It’s the second time in Larissa Anderson’s tenure that the Tigers have come this close to the WCWS.
In truth, the final game of the 2024 season had everything the Tigers’ coaching staff would have wanted from their team.
