Jamal Brooks is a three-star linebacker who signed with Missouri, and he has an issue with recruiting rankings.
Brooks, from Bessemer (Ala.) Bessemer City, took to Twitter on Thursday night to rail against recruiting rankings. While he was one of the leading tacklers in the Alabama high school ranks, he wasn’t offered by Alabama or Auburn, and Brooks says that led to his three-star ranking.
Brooks received seven offers from Power Five schools: In addition to Mizzou, he was offered by Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt. He was the consensus No. 43-ranked Alabama high school prospect in 2017.
