It was a decade ago when Jeremy Maclin kicked off Missouri’s deepest NFL draft class in nearly 30 years, going to the Philadelphia Eagles with the 19th selection in the 2009 first round. Maclin got the call while watching the draft unfold in Chesterfield, surrounded by friends and family.
He recalls that scene every spring but especially this year as he settles into life after football — and into fatherhood.
“Around this time every year I reflect on (the draft),” the former Kirkwood High and Mizzou star said this week. “It was a surreal moment. It’s something you want and you work for your whole life since you could play football.
