The Missouri State Bears women’s soccer team made a statement against Belmont in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals, with the Bears defeating the Bruins 2-0. MSU advances to host the Drake Bulldogs in the conference championship final on Sunday, Nov. 10.
The No. 1 Bears were nothing but business against the Bruins on Thursday night after receiving the double bye coming into the MVC tournament. With the extended time off and the cold weather, no one would have blamed the Bears if they came out to a slow start.
Consistency has been the name of the game for MSU throughout the season, and head coach Kirk Nelson wasn’t going to allow some chilly winds to change that.
