This was supposed to be a rebuilding year with a new head coach, but it appears nobody made the Bears aware of that.
Now Missouri State (14-12, 8-5) is set to take on Loyola (16-10, 9-4) on Sunday afternoon in Chicago. If the Bears win, they will be tied with at least the Ramblers atop the conference with a season sweep over the defending MVC champs.
The game is considered Missouri State's biggest since its 2011 Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship win over Wichita State.
