ST. LOUIS - Dorrian Williams was scheduled to have knee surgery on Friday morning.
It was supposed to be a painful microfracture procedure, where tiny holes are drilled into a bone in his knee, in an effort to promote the growth of cartilage in the joint.
Instead, the Missouri State senior played 18 minutes of Division I basketball at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
He didn’t score in the Bears’ 66-56 loss to Evansville in the quarterfinals at the Scottrade Center, but he was able to go out on his own terms, after missing the last eight games.
