Kaemyn Bekemeier's top priority when deciding on where to play the next chapter of her basketball career was that it was going to have to be somewhere local.
Coming from a big family, Bekemeier wanted to make sure they would be able to watch her live out her dream of playing college basketball.
The Republic junior also wanted somewhere she could win championships and go against teammates in practice who would be better than her — those who would challenge her to better herself every day.
Missouri State met all of her criteria.
Late one night in the last week, Bekemeier gave Lady Bears head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton a call.
