When Missouri State is brought up by the FCS Selection Committee as it puts together a 16-team field this weekend, the Bears will have a 5-4 record instead of a 5-1.
That's because the Bears' three losses they had in the fall will count toward their overall record even though their first game in the fall and final game in the spring were played nearly seven months apart.
The fall will be considered when the FCS Selection Committee decides who to put in. With the Bears expected to be one of the last teams in or one of the first teams out, those three losses could loom large.
