Huddled up in the Hammons Field outfield grass, Missouri State found itself in a familiar position that it was in the year before when it went on an unforgettable run.
Like last year, it wasn't the happiest of huddles. To end the regular season on Saturday evening, the Bears were coming off a 14-4 loss to Indiana State, as they went down in a three-game sweep. It was a year ago when the Bears had lost three of four to end the regular season but somehow, someway found themselves hoisting a trophy by the end of the next week to secure a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
