When Donovan Clay walked off the Enterprise Center floor after losing to Missouri State, he didn't expect to join the Bears a little more than a month later.
But here we are.
Days after falling to Missouri State in the Arch Madness quarterfinals, Clay decided to move on with his basketball career and enter the transfer portal.
"I felt like I needed something new and something better," Clay said. "They showed me love there but I decided to leave for something that was a better situation for me."
Clay said he heard from different schools including Grand Canyon, Marquette, Iowa State and Colorado State — but there was one school that was in consistent contact with him throughout the process and that's the one he chose.
