Missouri State is searching for its ninth head coach in its women's basketball program's history following Amaka Agugua-Hamilton's departure for Virginia.
MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats will be tasked with finding a leader who can maintain the Lady Bears' recent streak of excellence. Missouri State has qualified for three-straight NCAA Tournaments and has won at least one game in each of them.
Moats is on a bit of a hot streak with his hires with Agugua-Hamilton and football coach Bobby Petrino being two of the best hires of his career. Agugua-Hamilton was seen as a young up-and-comer when she was an associate head coach at Michigan State and a similar playbook to finding the program's next head coach might be in place.
