Nixa-native Courtney Frerichs will have her second opportunity to run for an Olympic medal on Wednesday morning.
The 3,000-meter steeplechase runner won her heat during Saturday's qualifying round to advance to the medal round for the second time in her career. She finished 11th at the 2016 Rio games.
The women's steeplechase final will take place Wednesday at 6 a.m. Central and will be streamed on Peacock. The final is set to re-air later in the day in primetime. Times are subject to change.
According to Bovada Sportsbook, Frerichs has the sixth-best odds at winning the gold medal with +1600 odds.
