Missouri Conservation Commission recently approved hunting regulation changes, set quotas on black bear and elk season, set dates for migratory bird season and more.
The commission met March 25 in Jefferson City to approve these changes, along with revoking hunting, fishing or trapping privileges of at least 11 people.
Elk and black bear hunting season
There will, once again, be five permits to hunt bull elk in Missouri this fall with at least one permit going to qualifying area landowners. There will also be 400 permits for taking a max of 40 black bears during the second black-bear hunting season this fall with 10 percent of permits going to qualifying land owners.
