What to know about Missouri State vs. Northern Iowa basketball, including how to watch the game

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The two second-place teams in the Missouri Valley Conference will break their tie Sunday afternoon as the league enters its final week of the regular season.

Northern Iowa (15-10, 11-4) hosts Missouri State (20-8, 11-4) at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in a game that could have championship implications.

Both teams entered the weekend a half-game behind first-place Loyola Chicago (20-5, 11-3) for first place in the league. The Ramblers hosted fourth-place Drake on Saturday in a game too late for print.

If the Ramblers were to lose one of their last four games and the Bears were to win out, MSU would have its first share of a conference title since Cuonzo Martin's final season as head coach in 2011.
