Now that a little bit of luck has gone Missouri State's way, the Bears are starting to feel confident going into this upcoming week's Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
In the minutes before the Bears and Salukis tipped off on Saturday afternoon at JQH Arena, the Indiana State Sycamores wrapped up a win over the Valparaiso Crusaders in a result MSU needed to jump up to a No. 6 seed and avoid a play-in game.
All that was left for the Bears to do was take care of business and beat Southern Illinois.
And the Bears did just that.
