Jefferson/South Nodaway didn’t allow Walnut Grove to get its championship groove on Friday night at JQH Arena.
The deep and undefeated Lady Eagles frustrated Walnut Grove for half of the game with more height and fewer mistakes.
The Lady Tigers, who were chasing their third consecutive state title, fell 49-44 in their Class 1 girls semifinal of the MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown.
JSN rose to 30-0 and earned a game against Leeton for the championship at 4 p.m. Saturday. Bailey Fleming led Leeton (23-4) with 19 points in a 47-43 victory over South Iron in the first semifinal.
