Veteran players shined on offense and defense Friday as Drury advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
The Lady Panthers smothered Missouri-St. Louis 65-49 in the quest for their third-consecutive regional title and appearance at the Elite 8.
They took control in the second quarter to lead 33-20 at halftime and advanced that to 50-31 after three quarters in boosting their record to 32-4.
Guard Kaylee DaMitz scored 12 points in the third quarter, including a pair of 3-point shots, and finished with a game-high 16 points.
The transfer graduate scored on a layup early in the fourth quarter to give Drury a game-high 21-point lead.
