Missouri State's quarterback competition entering the fall season just got a little more interesting.
Former Utah State quarterback Jason Shelley has transferred to Missouri State and is a member of its football team, MSU head coach Bobby Petrino said during the Missouri Valley Football Conference's virtual media day.
Shelley comes to Missouri State after two years at Utah and, most recently, a season at Utah State. He will be immediately eligible.
During his 2020 season at Utah State, the 5-foot-11 quarterback started four games completing 51-of-99 passes for 420 yards, two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions.
