It was too good to be true.
After opening the game with a promising opening drive which was enough to give the Bears a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Bears stalled on offense and No. 1 North Dakota State was able to scratch out enough points to defeat Missouri State 27-3.
The Bears offense ended the game with 176 total yards and four turnovers; Two of them interceptions and two of them being lost fumbles.
“We need to protect the ball and do the little things that we’re supposed to do,” Bears head football coach Dave Steckel said.
