Missouri State has had turnover problems through the non-conference portion of the season and it had its worst performance to date on Sunday.
The Bears lost 61-51 to Virginia Commonwealth in Richmond, Virginia, to fall to 6-6 this season. The loss snapped the Bears' three-game winning streak.
MSU turned the ball over 26 times to one of the better turnover-creating teams in the country. The Bears' previous worst game taking care of the ball was when they turned it over 22 times in a loss to Xavier.
Not all was bad for Missouri State. The university received $90,000 from VCU to play the game.
