NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Seven years have come and gone since Missouri men's basketball appeared in the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Friday will mark the Tigers' third such appearance in year No. 9 in the SEC. Missouri has never won multiple games at the league tournament and gained a semifinal berth.
Missouri, this year's No. 7 seed, is on the doorstep of uncharted territory after defeating No. 10-seed Georgia 73-70 on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena to set up a quarterfinal matchup against second-seeded Arkansas on Friday night.
Should Missouri win its rubber match against the Razorbacks, another opponent the Tigers have already lost to is guaranteed to be waiting for them in the semifinals — either LSU or Mississippi.
