Missouri State Lady Bears head coach Kellie Harper's name is still floating around the vacant Tennessee Lady Volunteers head coaching job about a week and a half after her name was first mentioned.
The Tennessee job remains open after the university decided to part ways with Holly Warlick on March 27. After her firing, connections were immediately made between Harper — a former Lady Volunteers point guard — and the job opening.
MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats said in a statement on April 1 that Tennessee contacted him saying it had interest in interviewing the Lady Bears head coach, who was coming off an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance.
