CHICAGO — After the Lady Bears lost to Gonzaga on Dec. 16, they fell to 1-7 on the season with conference play just a couple of weeks away.
It was in that postgame locker room where MSU head coach Kellie Harper felt like the season was going to turn around.
"The locker room after the game, it wasn't mad, it wasn't sad, but it was just a determined group of young women that knew they could do it," Harper said. "And I think that's when we really turned the corner and made a strong push.
