Springfield Public Schools is planning to hold a three-day celebration for spring athletes who lost their senior seasons due to the coronavirus pandemic.
SPS Athletics Director Josh Scott told the News-Leader on Thursday that July 21-23, the district plans to hold a baseball game, soccer game, a golf tournament, a track meet, and a tennis tournament to honor Class of 2020 seniors.
"We're excited to be able to try and do that," Scott said.
Invitations to participate in the track meet, golf tournament and tennis tournament have been extended to Ozark Conference programs, Bolivar and Catholic.
