Springfield Cardinals still not happy after parking company drops prices slightly

The Springfield Cardinals released a statement Wednesday night saying the company responsible for parking around Hammons Field dropped prices from $20 to $14 following some legal discussions.

And the Cardinals are still not happy.

A day after the St. Louis Cardinals' Double-A organization first said it was "disappointed" in the Landlord, Atrium Hospitality, Plaza Realty and JD Holdings for increasing the price of parking around Hammons Field to $20, the Springfield team said it understands the landlord will reduce parking prices to $14.

"While we are glad that they have continued to reduce their proposed parking rate, we still believe that $14 per space is unreasonable," a statement from the Cardinals said.
