The Greene County Sheriff's Office deemed a bomb threat non-credible at Hammons Field on Saturday afternoon, according to the Springfield Cardinals.
In a press release sent Monday evening, the Cardinals said they received a threat on Saturday and immediately contacted the local authorities.
The Cardinals said law enforcement deemed it as a non-credible bomb threat and they followed the direction law enforcement provided them.
"The safety of our fans is our highest priority," the Cardinals said in a release. "Nothing is more important to us. That is why we have Greene County Sheriffs work every game, conduct thorough bag checks as fans enter the ballpark and log all packages received.
