Springfield Cardinals first baseman Chandler Redmond had one of the more impressive nights in the history of affiliated baseball on Wednesday night in Amarillo, Texas.
As if a 21-4 win for the Cardinals over the Amarillo Sod Poodles wasn't good enough, Redmond hit for the home run cycle, which has only happened once before at the Minor League or Major League level.
The "home run cycle" is when a single batter hits a grand slam, three-run home run, two-run home run and a solo home run all in the same game. Redmond told MLB.
