Picture this.
You're standing in an icy Alaskan stream scanning for trout when a tiny brown mouse plunges in from the grassy edge and frantically swims for the other side.
A big trout spots the 'V' wake on the surface, and in a split second streaks up and gulps down the unsuspecting rodent.
Far-fetched?
"One guy you'll see here ties deer-hair mice flies to use for big rainbow trout in Alaska," said Mike Tipton Chairman of the 19th annual Sowbug Roundup fly-tying event this week at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. "It's very realistic looking. I think if I were fishing for rainbows in Alaska, I'd have a deer-hair mouse with me.
