It very well could have been called "Danielle Gitzen Day" at Missouri State as the Lady Bears celebrated their lone senior on the roster.
Gitzen, the team's starting point guard, walked alone to midcourt before the game, where she was given an ovation in front of a season-high 3,827 people in attendance.
However, she was still focused. She was about to play in the biggest regular-season game of her four-year career.
"I wasn't really thinking about it," Gitzen said. "Obviously, there was a big game at hand so I was kind of focused on that. It's not the last time we'll be playing this season and we'll have plenty more games.
