Matthew Lee, a member of the NCAA Tournament-darling Saint Peter's Peacocks this past season, announced on Twitter that he will transfer to Missouri State.
Lee is coming off a season in which he averaged 6.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game last season. He averaged 5.5 points and three assists during the four games that led the Peacocks to become the first 15-seed to reach the Elite Eight.
Lee departed Saint Peter's following head coach Shaheen Holloway accepting the head coaching position at Seton Hall — his alma mater.
Lee told On3 that he chose Missouri State because of the attention to detail the coaches had when breaking down his game and saying what he could bring to the program.
