SAN DIEGO - Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer hurriedly showered Tuesday evening, trying to catch a late flight to Los Angeles, but he was still trying to digest just what happened these past 72 hours.
Here he was, lounging around in the American League clubhouse one minute, and running onto the field the next, accepting the All-Star MVP award after the American League’s 4-2 victory in the 87th All-Star Game.
He even got a new car out of it, actually choosing a black truck, which he gave to his dad, Mike.
“Now, Hosmer said, “he can stop stealing my cars.
