Junior guard Ronnie Roussaeu III has decided to step away from the Missouri State basketball program at this time, head coach Paul Lusk announced Monday.
Since stepping away from the team for personal reasons on Jan. 7, Rousseau has been with his family in Cincinnati.
“From our standpoint, it’s been a heartbreaking thing to see—because Ronnie’s such a great kid—and to see him go through some struggles has been tough,” Lusk said. “First and foremost, we support him and his family.
Rousseau, in the press release which announced him stepping away from the team, released the following statement:
"Missouri State has been home since day one, I love my coaches and my brothers on the team.
