Republic senior guard Drew McMillin had one of the great shooting performances in state history in his team's win over Camdenton to begin the Bolivar Tournament.
The sharpshooter scored a ridiculous 61 points including 16 made 3-pointers in an 86-49 win.
His 16 made 3-pointers matches a state record for most 3's in a single game. The feat had only been accomplished by two others — Scott City's Jon Beck in 1997 and Central (Park Hills)'s Brandon Wagner in 2017.
His 61 points tied him for the 18th-best scoring performance in state history. According to MSHSAA's online record book, McMillin's scoring output was the most in southwest Missouri history.
